DESCRIPTION
French 19th-20th century Louis XV bombe shaped petit-bureau de dame (secretary). banded with a gilt rim. Six small drawers form the superstructure of the desk. A small gilt decorated (none working) clock is centered above the drawers. The leather desk top is outlined with a gilt twisted ribbon and the desk is fitted with a frieze drawer, attributed to Franciosi Linker (1855-1946). The pad feet and knees of the cabriole legs are decorated with a gilt leaf design and the front of the freeze drawer is similarly decorated with an extended carved leaf and bottom molding. The Desk measures 5 inches high x 5 1/4 ; inches wide x 2 1/4; inches deep. (124 cm x 129 x 61mm) and is available in walnut with Gilt trim
