DESCRIPTION
Sometimes called fireside chairs, as it was a popular style of chair to have pulled up in front of or flanking a fireplace.Origionated in England in the 1600s but they didn't rise in popularity until the 1720s.The front legs of the chair are shaped cabriole style with hand carving at the knee and foot. The back legs are straight and the chair is upholstered in a white cotton fabric decorated with large Red roses.The chair measures 4 inches high x 2.76 inches wide x 2.6 inches deep and the timber frame has a walnut finish.
