Gothic Monks Benchc. 1860 United Kingdom

Circa 1860, large impressive Gothic settle made in walnut with fine pierced carving on the cavetto moulded pediment and gothic style carvings on the raised panels at the back of the seat. It has a lift up seat and 4 panels to the front of the bench each with similar Gothic style carvings. The splat arms are finger moulded. The original bench was most likely produced in France. Measures 5 1/2 inches high x 4 3/4 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches deep and is available in a walnut finish.
