Balloon Back Chair 1840-walnut
Designed as a parlour chair and used in a dining room or drawing room. The chair named for its open, slightly concave back. The hand carved stay with pierced design connects the uprights at the narrow section of the back frame. The front legs are turned and the straight back legs ae splayed. The seat pad is upholstered in an of white silk fabric and decorated with spaced studs. The seat frame is a dado style. Mission Library Table. The table is square and swivels on a base to allow access to the single interior shelf from all sides of the table.The base has 4 claw feet. 4 Slats on each side of the square base form the sides of the cabinet and are positioned to allow access to the shelf and still secure the books or magazines on the shelf. Ming Dinisty Writing Table Chair-Black
Yokeback arm chair Ming dynasty,( the origional can be seen in the Metropolitan Museum of Art) it was origionaly used as the chair for a Chinese painting desk. The design of this chair is simple.The top of the chair fame is Cyma shaped, The back is a flat splat with moulded edges and a very small cut out were the splat fits on to the chair seat. (Hence the name yoke back)The top of the back frame and splat are curved back slightly. The chairt has open arms curved outwards with straight supports.The seat frame is molded with a curved valance that forms part of the front framework.Shaped brace blocks have been incorporated on the front legs,under the seat at the sides and at the front of the chair under the arm rests.The chair measures 6 1/4 inches high x 2 inches wide x 1 1/2 inches deep and is available in black.

Victorian Boston Rocking Chair- walnut
The chair has a tall Back and shaped top rail supported by plain turned uprights and a central carved Back splat. A wide horseshoe shaped continuous band terminating with rounded ends adds to extra strength to the chair back and creates the arm rests. Two curved bands (also known as rockers) are attached to the bottom of the turned legs. Turned spreader bars connect the legs on each side to each other. The rockers contact the floor at only two points, giving the occupant the ability to rock back and forth by shifting their weight or pushing lightly with their feet. The rocking chair measures 7/8 inches high x 2 1/16 inches wide x 3 1/16 inches deep and is available in a walnut finish.

Jacobean Chair
Following the style of a farthingale chair, which had no arms, a low solid padded back ; high-raised seat. The Chair can be used as a dining Chair or as a desk chair with matching desk J5038.Turned baluster legs at the front and plain ones at the rear. The front ones have been fluted which in that period would be call turning because of the method used to achieve the fluting. The top spreader bar (3/16 inches below the seat) at the front of the Settee fits into the top bulbous turn of the legs and is carried around the sides of the Settee. The turned spreader bars are copied and used just above floor level to reinforce front to back legs. The camel back of the Settee and the seat are upholstered in a dark red leather, a fabric favoured on Jacobean furniture. The turnings on either side of the back are surmounted by finials.; chair measures 4 inches high x 1 3/4 inches wide x 1 3/4 inches deep and is available in a walnut finish.
