DESCRIPTION
The Davenport desk, named after Captain Davenport who ordered one from Gillow & Co furniture makers in the 18th century. The desk has a brown leather lined sloping, lift up top. There are 5 small drawers on the right hand side of the pedestal support. The top of the desk has a small gallery for ink wells, pens and pencils. The gallery surround is serpentine shape with a centrally placed hand caved medallion in the back. The front legs are fluted and the desk apron is hand carved to match the medallion. 12 inches x long x 5 1/4 inches deep x 6 1/4inches high and is available in a walnut finish.
